The defender has become the fourth player to be handed a late call to join the Black Stars ahead of the double header against Sudan
Asante Kotoko defender Christopher Nettey has been handed the opportunity to join the Black Stars camp for the upcoming 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan on Thursday.
Following a brilliant campaign with Kotoko last season, the 22-year-old has been deemed the perfect replacement for Columbus Crew defender Harrison Afful after he failed to make the trip. Nettey will be the second player from Kotoko to join the Black Stars alongside goalkeeper Razak Abalora.
Bechem United young striker Prince Adu Kwabena became the first player to be called to the senior national team camp before midfielders Afriyie Acquah and Majeed Ashimeru as well as defender Joseph Attamah Larweh got a late call up.
AshesGyamera.com understands that Ashanti Gold full-back Kwadwo Amoako could also join the Black Stars on Monday.
Ghana will host Sudan on November 12 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium for the first leg before they trek to Khartoum five days later for the return fixture.
