The Ogya Lads are in happy mood after the club’s top-hierarchy paid their outstanding salaries
Ghana Premier League champions Aduana Stars have paid their players the outstanding salaries for the months of November and December, AshesGyamera can confirm.
The first team players who were unhappy with the treatment, especially when they had to rely on friends and family members to celebrate the past Christmas festivities had all their outstanding salaries paid into their respective accounts on Thursday.
With the Dormaa Ahenkro-based club preparing for their game against Al Tahady in the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League next month, some players made known their grievances to AshesGyamera.com and, although the club’s chief executive officer Albert Commey vehemently denied that the players were owed, measures were put in place to settle all debts before they leave for Egypt for the first leg.
Our sources have also revealed that the technical team had their salaries paid to them also with head coach Yussif Abubakar assuring club owner and bankroller Osagyefo Nana Agyemang Badu II that his charges won’t disappoint him.
Aduana defeated Buffle Du Bougou 1-0 on Wednesday in an international friendly and are expected to play one or two other high-profile friendlies, before they leave for Egypt on February 8.
The game against Al Tahady is expected to take place in the city of Alexandria on February 11.
