Ghana international Lumor Agbenyenu has completed his move to Sporting CP from Portimonense, in a four-and-half-year deal, after passing his medical on the transfer deadline day.
Agbenyenu, 21, who has been a superb form for Portimonensei ,returned to Portugal in last Summer after his loan deal with 1860 Munich came to an end, when the club suffered relegation to the German third-tier.
With Sporting currently sitting third on the log, tied on 47 points with Benfica and two points behind leaders FC Porto, head coach Jorge Jesus is hoping to push for qualification to play in Europe next season.
And Lumor is expected to bolster their defence in order to maintain their fine form.
Agbenyenu is expected it make his debut for Sporting on Sunday against Estoril.
He boasts of four international appearances for Ghana and was part of the squad tht failed to qualify to the 2018 Fifa World Cup holding in Russia.
