The 26-year-old saw his performance throughout the season not missing the praises of his teammates
The Ghanaian beat competition from goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianskiand Alfie Mawson to pick the award.
Also, he was adjudged the club’s overall topscorer after scoring 11 goals and his strike against Wolves in the fourth round of the FA Cup was selected as the club’s goal of the season.
However, goalkeeper Fabianski won the Supporters’ Player of the Year ahead of Ayew following his point-blank saves to keep their dream of surviving the relegation battle intact.
Ayew’s senior brother Andre who was once the fans’ favourite and won several awards at the same occasion three seasons ago, was in attendance to support his brother.
