The Sunyani Traditional Council under the leadership of Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen KorKor II, has finalized an agreement with Lin Daoping for the construction of a new Sunyani China Mall.
As part of the agreement, the Sunyani Traditional Council has released a 1.41-acre parcel of land, located at Sunyani East Newtown ( the Center for National Culture (CNC), to Lin Daoping for a 20-year period. After the expiration of the agreement the land will revert to the Sunyani Stool, if parties are unable to agree new terms .
Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen KorKor II called on all stakeholders and residents of Sunyani to support the project, emphasizing that the development will contribute significantly to the economic growth and modernization of the municipality.
All stakeholders have been duly informed about the agreement.
Additionally, the Paramount Chief and the Nananom of the Sunyani Traditional Council have announced that part of the proceeds received from the Chinese company—commonly referred to as kola—will be used to undertake renovation works to give a facelift to the Center for National Culture Building in Sunyani and Sunyani Children’s Park , which are both in very poor conditions.
