Juventus coach Max Allegri has insisted thata there is no proposal or talks between him and Arsenal in a bid to replace embattled Arsene Wenger after the season.
Wenger has come under increasing pressure following Arsenal’s shambolic performance in the Premier which sees them currently sitting sixth on the log and likely to miss Uefa Champions League slot unless they win the Europa League trophy.
“No, [there is no talks or contract]. I’m not even studying!” Allegri told Mediaset Premium.
Juventus defeated Udinese 2-0 on Sunday thanks to a brace from Paulo Dybala to go atop of the Serie A table and the side’s performance has been lauded by the manager.
“We haven’t achieved anything yet, as the season ends in May,” he said.
“On Wednesday, we got past Tottenham to reach the next Champions League round, we beat Udinese and can now focus on Atalanta.
“We suffered a little at the start today, but can only compliment the players for doing so well. Dybala is improving, the two goals against Lazio and Spurs gave him a boost mentally.
“Gonzalo Higuain is doing well too, even if he didn’t convert the penalty, as he provided the assist for Dybala’s second goal. On Wednesday there’s another crucial game that we have to win against Atalant,” he added.
Juventus have qualified to the quarterfinals of the Champions League after eliminating Premier League Tottenham Hotspur last week.
