The Adum Traditional Council has finally completed the process to enstool chief executive officer of King David Movie Production, Mr. King David as the new Krontihene of Adum and Odikro for Boayaase in the Offinso South District of the Ashanti Region, AshesGyamera.com can confirm.
The process, which began several days ago, finally came to a successful end on April 25 as King David, now officially known by the stool name Nana Appiah Kubi II, was introduced to his people in front of many high ranking chiefs from the Ashanti Traditional Council. He succeeded his uncle, Nana Owusu Amaadi who passed on twelve years ago leaving the position vacant until all necessary processes and protocols were followed to find his befitting successor.
The ceremony was well attended especially by people from the art and culture industry including the Deputy Minister-designate for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mark Okraku Mantey.
Others present were top Kumawood Movie producers and actors, musicians, politicians as well as his former school mates and family members.
During his acceptance speech, Nana Appiah Kubi II heaped praise on Adum Hene Nana Baffour Agyei Kesse
and his council of elders for the honour given him to serve the people of Adum, Boayaase, Asante kingdom and Ghana at large and promised to always be committed to his core duties as well as help to protect and promote the customs and traditions of the people.
Nana Appiah Kubi II further promised to effect positive change and help bring on board wide range of developments through his endless connections with people in higher positions both far and near as a movie producer and successful business mogul in order to bring hope to the youth.
After his swearing in, Adum Hene, Nana Baffour Agyei Kesse, cautioned him to be of good behaviour and protect the image of the chieftaincy institution in Ghana.
BRIEF PROFILE OF NANA APPIAH KUBI II.
King David, now Nana Appiah kubi II, was born on 20th October 1976 by the late Agya Donkor and Madam Elizabeth Agyeiwaa (Mame Boaduwaa).
He is the seventh and last born of his parent and completed his elementary education at Abofour Local Authority (L/A) Junior Secondary School in 1994.
He is married to Akua Adutwumwaa and the couple have been blessed with four (4) children made up of three girls namely Elizabeth Agyeiwaa, Agnes Appiah, Queens Love Appiah and a boy Eric Appiah.
