The one-time Ghana leading striker has aimed a dig at the Black Stars after their poor showing at the 2021 Afcon
Ghana striker Majeed Abdul Waris has slammed the Black Stars after their shambolic performance at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations ongoing in Cameroon.
The Black Stars have failed to win any of their two games which has led them in a dicey situation to make it out of the group.
Ghana now have to defeat Comoros in the last game at all cost before they can stand a chance to progress to the next stage.
And Waris suggests that a lot of things must change starting from the top hierarchy of Ghana Football Association to how players are called up to represent the national teams ahead of major tournaments.
“Until we are not scared to do the right things, the value will always be the same,” Waris tweeted.
Before the tournament, there were a lot of concerns around the selection of some players including Dreams FC defender Philimon Baffour, Benjamin Tetteh and Richmond Boakye Yiadom.
Ghana have always qualified from the group stage of the Afcon since 2008.
