The Santasi-based school is making giant strides this year as they have defied the odds to make it to the final
Opoku Ware Senior High School defeated Osei Kyeretwie SHS in the first semifinals of 2022 Ashanti Region’s Inter-School soccer competition ongoing at Len Clay Sports Stadium in Obuasi.
OWASS took the lead by the 13th minute when one of their strikers sent in a sublime finish.
However, OKESS brought the game on level pegging after the break and pushed the contest to penalties.
Despite the resilient approach by OKESS, their fairytale journey finally came to an end as two of their kicks were missed.
OWASS has reached the final after winning 4-2 on penalties and could face either T.I AMASS or Asanteman
