The youngster has declared his readiness to join the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the start of the 2021/22 season

Ashanti Gold midfielder Seth Osei has admitted that he will like to join Asante Kotoko before the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season kicks off.

The midfielder became an instant hit for Ashanti Gold last season after joining them from Techiman Eleven Wonders and has been on the transfer wishlist of many clubs.

Although, Kotoko have made two separate official bids to Ashanti Gold, the club’s top hierarchy have rejected them since they could not meet the buyout clause of $80,000.

The situation has left Osei, who says he is staunch Kotoko supporter frustrated, and pleads that the supporters should come to his aid.

“I love Asante Kotoko Sporting Club. I’m ready to join the club because it is the club I love,” Osei told Pure FM

“I have discussed with Dr. Kwaku Frimpong about my desire to join Kotoko. My target now is to join Kotoko before the new season starts.

“I am a fan of Kotoko even though I’m an Ashanti Gold player. I am ready to play for Kotoko. I will plead to the Kotoko supporters to make contributions to pay the $80,000 that Dr. Kwaku Frimpong is demanding. I want to wear their Jersey to honor my late father,” he added.

Osei scored six goals and provided six assists last season. He also won two Man of the Match awards and helped the Ashanti Gold to reach the final of the FA Cup
