The Black Stars continued with their preparations for the World Cup qualifiers as they turned their attention to how to successfully deploy their tactics
Ghana coach C.K Akonnor shifted the attention of his players to formalizing tactics and formations to be used against Ethiopia on Friday in the Group G opener of 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers.
With the Black Stars have a full house of 32 players in Cape Coast on Wednesday, Akonnor gave each department of the team their part of what he expects them to work to perfection.
The midfielders had time to train on short and long passes as well as quick break while the strikers took time to sharpen their finish. Also, players like Andre Ayew and his junior brother Jordan Ayew as well as Wakaso Mubarak tried their hands on free-kicks and other dead ball situations.
The defenders worked in different ways on how to keep the Ethiopians at bay come Friday.
With Ghana hoping to make a return to mundial after missing the last edition held in Russia, Akonnor doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned.
The Black Stars will depart Ghana Saturday morning to Johannesburg, South Africa to prepare for the second group game against Bafana Bafana on Monday while Ethiopia host Zimbabwe at the same time.
