The Hunters skipper was linked with the Porcupine Warriors but he has opted to play in Egypt after penning a long term contract
Bechem United captain Moro Salifu has signed a three-year deal with Egyptian top-flight side Al Ittihad, the club has officially confirmed.
The 23-year-old had a stellar campaign with the Ahafo-based club in the just ended Ghana Premier League as he led the club to avoid relegation by a whisker.
After an several consistent performances, Salifu was highly tipped to make a short trip from Bechem to join Kotoko in Kumasi, however, the young midfielder opted to seek greener pastures.
As a result, he flew to North African country last week and has now sealed a new move as a free agent.
Although, Kotoko have lost Salifu to Ittihad, reports suggest they are still in negotiations with Bechem for their top striker who scored a brace against them last season when the two clubs met at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
