The Royals have offloaded five first team players to make way for new recruits as they prepare for the upcoming season
Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities have terminated the contracts of five players as they seek to strengthen their squad for the 2021/22 season, according to reports in the local media.
The players include former Asante Kotoko midfielder Baba Mahama who joined the club as a free agent. Although, Baba had some memorable performances last season and even scored some spectacular goals, coach Maxwell Konadu believes he is not part of his plans.
Also, Shamus Diego Alhassan who previously had stints with Bechem United has been shown the exit together with former Berekum Chelsea duo of Ali Foster Braimah and Justice Anane.
Also, Raphael Ocloo and Cephas Doku will not be part of the team for the new season as the club are now in the market to find their replacement since they struggled to live up to the expectations last season.
Meanwhile, former Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan will likely keep his place in the team despite failing woefully to replicate the feat he had in Europe and Asia some years ago.
