The defender has officially put pen to paper with the Iraqi side and would be playing in the top-flight this season
Ghana defender Abdul Ganiyu Ismail has officially joined Iraqi Premier League side Talaba Sports Club in a one-year deal with an option for another year, AshesGyamera.com can confirm.
The 28-year-old was recently stripped off his captaincy role at Kotoko after felling off with the club’s top hierarchy following disagreement over incentive package after winning Ghana Premier League title last season.
Ganiyu is expected to earn around US$ 5,000 every month as salary after joining Talaba from Kotoko which sees him earning almost three times of the salary he was getting in Ghana.
