The Athletic Bilbao striker had to wait for over a year before finally getting his maiden goal for Ghana
Ghana defeated Madagascar 1-0 in the opening game of Group I in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday thanks Inaki Williams’ debut goal.
Inaki, who was born in Spain, naturalised to represent Ghana last year but has endured a difficult start which has led to lots of backlash.
However, the Athletic Bilbao striker found broke his duck when he scored the only goal in the game very late in additional time.
Inaki rose above his marker and sent in a powerful header to give Ghana a vital victory.
