The Phobians have finally added to their squad a top-notch goalkeeper and two outfield players after several players have been offloaded
Hearts of Oak have officially signed three new players to join their squad on Wednesday ahead of 2022/23 season.
With rumours that goalkeeper Richmond Ayi is on his way out to join United States club FC Cincinnati, the Phobians have signed former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi to fill the void.
The 27-year-old joined the Phobians from city rivals Legon Cities after just a season with the Royals and will now reunite with former coaches Samuel Boadu and assistant coach Hamza whom he worked with at Medeama.
“We are glad to announce the latest family member, Eric Ofori Antwi. He signed a 3-year contract after passing his medical,” a club statement read.
“He joins the pool of great goalkeepers in the squad. He is finally reuniting with his former coaches,” the statement added.
Also, Hearts have signed highly-rated striker Junior Kaaba in a two-year deal after weeks of speculations.
“Junior Kaaba finally joins the Phobia family. He puts pen to paper after a successful medical. He signed a 2-year agreement with Accra Hearts of Oak and we are glad he will join the rest of the team as we prepare for the CAF competition and the GPL,” a club statement read.
Also, talented defender Zakari Yakubu has also joined the club from lower division side All Blacks in a four-year deal.
