The Phobians annihilated the lower tier side in a friendly as they continue their preparations for the Caf Champions League game against WAC
Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak on Wednesday defeated Division One League side Tema Youth 4-2 in a friendly game.
The Phobians are preparing ahead of the Caf Champions League second round fixture against Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco on October 22 and 29 at Accra Sports Stadium and Casablanca respectively.
Hearts coach Samuel Boadu started the game with goalkeeper Richard Attah in post while William Dankyi, Fatawu Mohammed, Mohammed Alhassan and Robert Addo Sowah made up the defensive setup.
Caleb Amankwah and Frederick Ansah Botchway were deployed as the two central midfielders while Afriyie Barnieh and Salifu Ibrahim completed the midfield.
Isaac Mensah and Kofi Kodzi were partnered upfront in a dress rehearsal of what could be the starting line up against WAC.
Kordzi opened the scoring for Hearts in the first half of the he game before , Isaac Mensah and Victor Aidoo added other goals.
Afriyie Barnieh wrapped it up with a nice finish for Hearts. It was Evans Osei Wusu who scored a brace for Tema Youth.
Hearts eliminated Guinean side CI Kamsar in the preliminary round and are hoping to make it to the group stage for the first time since 2000 where they became the eventual winners that season.
