Hearts of Oak have closed in on former Inter Milan and AC Milan midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari, according to reports in the local media.
The 36-year-old has been training with the Phobians for a week now and reports suggest he would sign a one-year contract to compliment the Phobians midfield as they hope to improve their squad to successfully defend the Ghana Premier League title they won las season.
Sulley Muntari’s contract with Hearts of Oak, if confirmed, will see him as the highest paid player in Ghana Premier League.
The Uefa Champions League winner is expected to be unveiled in the coming days after training with the Phobians for some time and impressing head coach Samuel Boadu as well as the entire technical team.
Aside his influence on the field of play, Muntari’s imminent deal with Hearts will see the Phobians raking in a lot of monies off the field through endorsement and publicity.
