The Phobians laboured to pip Dreams FC in the first semifinals of the FA Cup as they edge closer to defend the title

Hearts of Oak defeated Dreams FC 3-2 to reach the final of 2021/22 season at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

After a very difficult season where the Premier League title look over for them, Hearts have made it to the final of the FA Cup and could end the campaign with a trophy.

Simba shot Dreams into the lead after only four minutes in the game with a powerful effort but Hearts levelled the score six minutes later through Benjamin Yorke.

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh added another goal for Hearts after the break to send the Phobians into tie lead for the first time in the game.

Dreams were reduced to ten men on 58th minute after Issah Ibrahim’s bad tackle on Mohammed Alhassan was deemed reckless.

Hearts capitalised on the numerical advantage as Suraj Seidu added another goal to make it 3-1 by the 66th minute.

Dreams pulled one back on the 78th minute and staged a late attempt to find the equaliser but it was too little too late as Hearts held on to pick a win.

Hearts will now face the winner in the second semifinals between Bechem United and Aduana Stars in the final slated for Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi next month.
