This afternoon, Ghana’s Black Sharks will be squaring it off with host nation Egypt in 2024 Africa Beach Soccer Cup of Nations in Group A. The Black Sharks booked their place at the tournament after defeating Côte d’Ivoire 10-5 on aggregate – securing a 5-3 win over Côte d’Ivoire 5-3 in Keta and 5-2 in Abidjan in the return leg.
In the other Group A fixture, Morocco will lock horns with Tanzania and the tournament will run from today, October 19-24, 2024.
The Black Sharks next opponent will be against Morocco October 21, before they complete the group stage with a date against Tanzania in the last game.
Head Coach of the Black Sharks Daniel Kotey said after Thursday’s draw.
The winner and runner-up of the tournament will represent Africa at the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup which will be staged in Seychelles. A total of 24 countries will converse in Africa for the first time to challenge for the world title.
