The midfielder announced his arrival to the Ogya Boys setup with a goal on his debut in a friendly
Former Asante Kotoko deputy captain Emmanuel Gyamfi marked his debut with Aduana Stars with a goal in the 2-2 draw against Asekem FC in a pre-season friendly at Beposo on Wednesday.
Gyamfi, who mutually terminated his contract with Kotoko last month, started the game on the bench together with former Kotoko defender Adom Frimpong.
However, the duo were thrown into the match after the break to showcase what they have to offer the club ahead of the start of the new season.
Nicholas Opoku Nti scored the opening goal for Asekem before Richmond Adu added another goal for the lower division side.
Gyamfi connected a pass from a teammate and calmly slotted in his effort to reduce the deficit for Aduana.
Defender Farouk Adams snatched the equaliser late in the game to save Aduana’s blushes.
Gyamfi joined Aduana after he was infamously labeled a mole in Asante Kotoko dressing room. Despite ending last season as one of the club’s top performers, new coach Prosper Ogum Narteh insisted that he doesn’t fit into his plans and advised him to look elsewhere.
He joined Kotoko from WA All Stars in 2016 as a free agent after he arrived from a loan spell at Shirak FC in Armenia.
