The shot-stopper says that he is ever ready to join any club after his exit from the Porcupine Warriors but insists the Phobians are not in the picture

Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper and captain Felix Annan has admitted his readiness to join any club in Ghana with the exception of Hearts of Oak.

The 26-year-old, after spending ten years at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, parted ways with the Porcupine Warriors after mutually terminating his contract on Thursday.

Annan fell out of favour under former Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu and he lost his starting role in the team to Kwame Baah and later Razak Abalora.

Although, reports suggest that several clubs have shown interest in his service, Annan insist that he is not ready to join the Phobians at the moment but anything can happen in the future.

“I’m ready to join any club since I’m a professional player. However, for now I don’t have any plans to join Hearts of Oak but nobody knows the future. I just need a place with sound environment so that I can perform like people know me,” Annan told Nhyira FM in an interview.

“I wish Hearts of Oak the best of luck in their participation in Caf Champions League. They should make the country proud because we are solidly behind them,” he added.

Annan also insisted that he will never jubilate when his new club defeats Asante Kotoko in a game in future as a sign of respect.

“As a sign of respect, I will never jubilate whenever my new team plays against Asante Kotoko and we win. I will be happy for the victory but won’t jubilate. I spent ten years at Kotoko and despite the ups and downs at club, I describe it as the best time in my life.

“I will never stand anywhere to say bad things about the club. I will never run the club down or whatever. I cherish it and I know my children will one day grow to love this club also

“My first game against Hearts of Oak was memorable. I came on to replace Soulama Abdoulaye during half time. The scoreline was 1-1 and we went on to win 3-1.

“I also think the FA Cup final victory over Hearts in Tamale was also memorable as well as the game against Nkana FC in the Caf Confederation Cup,” he added.

Annan is currently in United Kingdom with his wife to cool off after what looked like a difficult season for him.
