Title holders Hearts of Oak mauled lower-tier side 5-2 in Accra to progress to the last 16 while Aduana Stars also made a huge statement in their bid to win their maiden title by thrashing Freedom Fighters 5-0 thanks to Sam Adams’ four goals and an assist.
At the Golden City Park in Berekum, Bofoakwa Tano could not stand the might of Berekum Chelsea as the hosts pipped them 1-0.
At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, King Faisal recovered from their shocking home defeat against Karela in the Premier League to record a slim win in the FA Cup against them this time around.

On Thursday, former champions Bechem United will trek to Bibiani to face Gold Stars at the Dun’s Park. When the two sides met in the Premier League last year, Gold Stars left it late but won 1-0.
