New Edubiase United have appointed Emmanuel Akwasi Boahen ‘Stargo’ as the deputy chief executive officer and director of operations ahead of the start of 2021/22 season, AshesGyamera.com can confirm.

Boahen, who joined Edubiase as a supporter, before he became the public relations officer of the supporters union in 2008, has risen through the ranks over the years to now hold one of the topmost positions due to hard work and dedication.

In the 2010, Boahen was named as the director of communications of the club and was later appointed a member of the financial committee in 2012.

Although, his efforts together with other members in 2019 nearly saw New Edubiase securing a ticket back to the top-flight, the division one league was truncated because of Anas exposé.

Following his appointment, Boahen promised to work extra harder to help the club realise its targets in the upcoming season after they missed out qualification back to Ghana Premier League during last campaign.

“I’m excited for the opportunity given me to serve this great club. I’ve been with the club for several years and served in many capacities but I believe this appointment is an awesome one,” Boahen said, as quoted by AshesGyamera.com.

“It is my ambition to join hands with other officials, coaches, players, supporters and other stakeholders so we can achieve our aims in the new season. Everything is possible in this life,” he added.

Edubiase will be playing in Zone Two of Ghana’s Division One League with the likes of Samatex, Skyy FC, Ebusua Dwarfs, Asokwa Deportivo and BYFC.
