Ghana’s Sulemanu Tetteh defeated Rodrigo Marte on Monday at the Olympic Games ongoing in Japan.
Tetteh, who weighs 52kg, has been tipped by many pundits to win a medal for Ghana barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Tetteh’s next opponent is Veitia Yosbany of Cuba scheduled for Saturday July 31.
He won gold at the 2012 Ecowas Games in Accra, Ghana and also won silver at the African Championships in Casablanca, Morocco.
Tetteh currently holds a record of 63 fights with 54 wins and nine defeats
