The Porcupine Warriors returned to winning ways against the Premier League debutants and it was an estatic scene at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium afterwards
Asante Kotoko players and fans were in high spirit following their side’s 3-1 victory over Accra Lions on matchday seventeen of Ghana Premier League at Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday.
After losing to Elmina Sharks on Monday, Kotoko returned to winning ways thanks to a hat-trick by Cameroonian striker Etuoga Mbella Frank Thierry even though they missed the services of Mudasiru Salifu, Imoro Ibrahim and Georges Mfegue Rodrigues.
After the game, Kotoko supporters cheered on their players and joined them in celebration while others poured out praise on the players.
To some, Kotoko are in good hands since their coach Prosper Ogum Narteh is the right man for the club .

Meanwhile, midfielder Justice Blay further insisted that Kotoko are runaway league leaders and advised the supporters to start trooping to the stadium during home games in order to lift the trophy in a grand style.
“I will tell the fans to come to the park [Baba Yara Sports Stadium] to support us so that we can continue to win games in order to win the league title,” Blay said as quoted by AshesGyamera.com
“We are even champions already because if you check the numbers of matches ahead of us the supporters inputs will complement our efforts to lift the trophy.
“So I will plead with the supporters who have been away for sometime to return to the stadium during home games and rally behind us so we can achieve our target of winning the league,” he added.
Blay scored against Hearts of Oak two seasons ago and he is expected to start against them next weekend in the outstanding league game.
Kotoko now lead the Premier League log with 36 points, six points better than second placed Bechem United.
