Ghana is the biggest ‘shithole’ in Africa – Afia Schwarzenegger backs Donald Trump

Television personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has backed Donald Trump on his comments that Africa is a “Shithole”
According to her, the President of the United State of America did well in tagging the continent as a “shithole” because regardless of the resources that abound on the continent, leaders of the various countries that make up the continent continue to run to America for aid.

She indicated that in Ghana, people move from their houses at dawn just to join long queues for Visa to America and when they are denied, they never give up because they cannot bear the hardship in the “Shithole”.

Bishop Kobi sheds light on Shatta Wale’s rise

Founder and leader of the Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi has revealed that dancehall artiste Shatta Wale used his sticker before releasing his dancehall hits.
The man of God speaking on UTV’s morning show ‘Adekye Nsroma’ said he received a call from the ‘dancehall king’ thanking him for what he has done for him.
He said the musician explained that he just took a sticker of him and prayed to God that if really he (Prophet Badu Kobi) is a man of God, then heavenly doors should be opened for him.
According to the man of God, after the musician prayed that prayer he began releasing hits after hits.
The Glorious Wave Church International has been in a feud with his spiritual father Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah and through that Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has withdrawn his posture as spiritual father of Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi.

Rev. Owusu Bempah told Journalists that his decision to disown Prophet Badu Kobi stemmed from the latter’s continual insubordination and refusal to heed his counsel.
“Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi who prophesied during the campaign season that a certain party would win the elections and also added that a particular candidate cannot be President of Ghana, is no longer my spiritual son. This is because he doesn’t heed to my counsel and has joined a certain company of individuals that I’m not comfortable with against my wishes,” he said.
But Prophet Badu Kobi on his part expressed gratitude to his ‘ex-spiritual father’ in a statement noting that he would never disrespect him despite the bad blood between them.

Bashir Hayford slams Ebusua Dwarfs supporters

Ebusua Dwarfs caretaker coach Bashir Hayford has lashed out at the club’s supporters following their 4-0 defeat to Ghana Premier League’s newly-promoted side Karela United FC in the Ghalca G8 pre-season tournament on Thursday.
The defeat means Dwarfs are out of the tournament with a game to spare since they lost 6-5 to Medeama SC in the opening game.
The supporters booed the players and new manager calling for his dismissal three weeks after coming on board.

”I’m not officially the head coach since I’ve not been unveiled. So if they are calling for my head after this defeat, then I will give them my whole body,” said Hayford.
”I opted to come and observe the players, so if they want my head then they should come for my whole body. I understand that the first team players [from last season] are only three and the rest are here for trial.

”The team is rebuilding and I opted to come and observe those who weren’t regular last season. They are the ones playing now. I want to tell the supporters that my head is there for them. If they want the club to have a successful pre-season, they should give us enough time to prepare,” he added.

Hayford guided Ashanti Gold to clinch the 2015 Ghana Premier League title and joined Dwarfs who were without a coach after their contract with Brazilian Ricardo da Rocha was terminated mutually in December.
Dwarfs will play Hearts of Oak in the last Group B game of the G8 tournament on Sunday.

Chelsea boss Conte insists Baba Rahman is not ready for game time

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte says recuperating defender Baba Rahman needs more time to regain full fitness.

The Ghana fullback has been out of action since picking up an injury at last year’s Africa Cup of Nations in January.
Initially expected back on the pitch after seven months, a series of relapses continue to keep him out of contention for game time.

“Baba is recovering from a bad injury,” Conte told pressmen on Friday.
“I had the possibility to see him in training with us only once or twice.
“He wasn’t ready to have a full training session with us.
“Now he is recovering and it could be an interesting option for the player, to try to recover with them.
“For sure, he is not ready in this moment to play, otherwise Baba Rahman would stay with us in my squad.”
German side Schalke, with whom Baba was on loan before his injury, have expressed interest in having him back at Veltins-Arena when he regains full fitness.

English outfits Everton and Newcastle United are reportedly also eyeing a move for the fullback, while Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have also shown interest in the Black Star.
Baba joined Chelsea in 2015 but limited opportunities at Stamford Bridge prompted a switch to Schalke after playing 15 league games in his first season with the Blues.

Thomas Partey admits Atletico Madrid’s Champions League disappointment

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Teye Partey says his outfit must focus on tasks ahead than dwell on their early elimination from the Uefa Champions League.
The Rojiblancos were arguably the biggest casualty of the group stage as they failed to qualify for the round of 16 after finishing third in Group C behind Chelsea and AS Roma.
Diego Simeone’s men are now set to continue this season’s European adventure in the lower-ranked Europa League.

“When you are on the pitch you only think about the team and people watching,” Partey told Marca.
“I worried a lot because it was not good to be knocked out and I always want to compete but when you cannot, then there is no point still talking about it.
“We have other things to look forward to this year and next season I am sure we will be in the fight for the Champions League.”
Despite Atletico’s disappointing showing Partey had a good run on personal level.

The Ghanaian started five of the six group games, coming on as a substitute in the last.
He scored the equaliser in the 1-1 home draw with Azerbaijani side Qarabag last October.

Atsu not leaving Newcastle United, says Benitez

Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has reiterated his desire to keep Ghana international Christian Atsu as well as other players who command first team place in his set-up.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to West Ham United alongside Jonjo Shelvey and striker Aleksander Mitrovic but the Spanish manager insists there have been no official offers and none will even be sold.

“We cannot sell players that are playing because we would need to replace them with better players and in January, it takes a lot of money to convince them to come here,” Benitez was quoted as saying by Daily Star.

“So we are not thinking of selling those that are already playing. I have heard people talking about our players but we do not have any offers,” he said.

He added: “If someone would come in and could buy, then we would have extra money to go into the market but we don’t want to sell anyone who has value for our team.”

Atsu was rested in Newcastle’s Cup game against Luton Town.
