The Serbian coach has benched the skipper in his squad that will face the Warriors in the make or break fixture on Tuesday
Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has surprisingly dropped captain Andre Ayew in the squad that defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 in the first leg of the Fifa World Cup qualifiersas they prepare to play the second leg in Harare on Tuesday.
Ayew, who scored Ghana’s third goal in the first leg has been left on the bench for striker Benjamin Tetteh.
Also, youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been replaced by Real Mallorca’s midfielder Baba Iddrisu, according to AshesGyamera’s sources.
Issahaku who was handed his debut in the first leg will likely be dropped to the bench despite impressing must watch from the bench and hope to come in later
In his place, Real Mallorca midfielder Iddrisu Baba will take over and partner Arsenal star Thomas Teye Partey to provide a balance to the team.
Although, a lot of Ghanaians have criticised the consistent use of Crystal Palace striker, he will still maintain his position.
The 30-year-old has failed to score in his last 47 games for club and country. However, he was able to provide an assist for Ghana’s opening goal against Zimbabwe in the first leg at Cape Coast Sports Stadium last weekend.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Jojo Wollacot has been maintained in post after his wonderful debut for Ghana on Saturday. He will start ahead of Richard Attah, Danlad Ibrahim and Lawrence Ati-Zigi.
Milovan also maintained the back four of Daniel Amartey, Baba Rahman, Alexander Djiku and Jonathan Mensah while Benjamin Tetteh leads the attack.
