The second part of the week-long program to upgrade Ghanaian coaches on the modern trends of football continues on Sunday
Ghana Football Association will hold the second part of Caf license A refresher course for coaches at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence, Prampram..
The program is expected to commence on Sunday, September 26 to Thursday, September 30 and it will be led by Director of Coaching Education Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah with assistance and directives from Technical Director of Ghana FA Bernhard Lippert and other CAF/FIFA instructors.
A total of 32 coaches are expected to arrive at the venue for the course and notably among them include former Ghana coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor and Sellas Tetteh, as well as former Asante Kotoko assistant coach Prince ‘Tactical Sabuto’ Acheampong.
Others include Godwin Ablordey, Felix Kwabena Aboagye, Stephen Abugri, Frimpong Manso, Mercy Tagoe and Nana Adarkwah.
Unfortunately, Asante Kotoko assistant coach Abdulai Gazale will miss the opportunity since he is currently in United Kingdom to undergo a one-month refresher course at Premier League side Southampton.
Thirty-six (36) CAF License A holders took part in the first training programme and the coaches were taking through player profiling, attacking instincts, Match Observation and Report writing, Technology and Data in Team selection and Communication within and outside the pitch.
The refresher course was in line with CAF’s new coaching convention that enjoins member associations to organize refresher courses for all license coaches every two years.
Licensed coaches who failed or will fail to undertake the refresher course run the risk of having their licenses expired or invalid.
