The Phobians terrible start to the season continued as they faltered once again in Dormaa Ahenkro on Wednesday
Aduana Stars put up yet another spirited performance to defeat Hearts of Oak 2-0 in Ghana Premier League matchday one outstanding game on Wednesday at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
The Phobians picked their first win under Kosta Papic last weekend and were aiming at another victory to turnaround their poor start but things did not go as planned. Papic made one change from his last team as Umar Manaff came in for Ansah Botchway in midfield while Yahaya Mohammed led the attack at the other end for the hosts.
After Hearts forwards missing several half chances, Yahaya Mohammed, who was returning from injury gave Aduana the lead by the 24th minute. The striker promised to score a goal and definitely lived up to his words.
Although, Rady Ovouka came close to score the equaliser by the 38th minute, goalkeeper Joseph Addo saved his effort.
Aduana did not waste time after coming out from the recess and quickly added another goal through Prince Acquah as Papic was left fuming at his charges for poor man-marking.
Although, Hearts pushed men forward to at least reduce the deficit, they squandered the few chances that came their way.
Aduana were then resolute at the back especially following the introduction of Emmanuel Akuoku ‘Obubulebu’ to record a famous victory.
