Asante Kotoko arrived in Tamale on Saturday morning ahead of the Ghana Premier League matchday 25 fixture against Real Tamale United at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday.
With Kotoko leading the Premier League table with 52 points, Prosper Ogum Narteh’s men are hoping to secure another three points in order to stretch the eight-point lead between them and Bechem United who sit in second place.
As a result, they arrived in Tamale more than 24 hours to kick off with a military escort in order to do away with attacks on the road especially between Kintampo and Tamale.
Real Tamale United, on the other hand, are fighting relegation as they currently sitting one place above the relegation zone but tied on the same points with Eleven Wonders.
