The best performer in each Asante Kotoko game will be taking home GH¢2,000 as the club aims at annexing the Premier League trophy
Asante Kotoko chief executive officer Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed that the club has signed a deal with Zeepay to award each player who will be adjudged the Best Performer in Premier League games 2,000 cedis.
With Kotoko eliminated from the FA Cup, the club’s only shot at trophy this season is the Premier League and they are doing everything possible to win it.
“As part of the brand association with Zeepay, Asante Kotoko has introduced the ‘Zeepay Man of the Match’ award for the most outstanding player of each match. The Man of the Match will be awarded GH¢2,000,” Kotoko CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah said.
In addition, Zeepay has significant bragging rights in association with Asante Kotoko Club and has been granted full usage of Asante Kotoko’s logo on all related branding, as well as pitch panels, jerseys and related matters.
“In line with Zeepay’s Financial Inclusion mandate, we will also offer 20 of our award-winning kiosks to club supporters as part of employment generation,” Maria Oti Acheampong, Corporate partners and financial inclusion analyst said.
Zeepay, which is a Mobile Financial Services Company, is one of the fastest rising Ghanaian-owned companies as they Offices across Ghana, the UK and through its partners in Europe. They currently have their main campus based in Accra, located at Cantonments.
Kotoko are currently leading Ghana Premier League pack with 27 points, three points above Aduana Stars and they have a game in hand against Hearts of Oak.
That game has been slated for February 20 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
