The Inshallah Boys gaffer believes their city rivals are the favorites to annex the trophy this season despite defeating them in the derby last weekend
King Faisal head coach Amadu Nurudeen says Asante Kotoko are one of the top favourites to win Ghana Premier League title this season despite the setback on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors were defeated 3-2 by city rivals King Faisal at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium thanks to a hat-trick by Zubeiru Ibrahim.
The defeat means that Kotoko are have picked just a point from their last two games as they also shared the spoils goalless against Karela United at Ainyinase.
“I still believe that Kotoko have what it takes to win the league because of what they did against us,” Amadu said.
“Honestly speaking they played well and then when you play against such a team you need to be cautious and know exactly what you want to do”
“I think that we did the needful, we sat back and took them on the break. They can win the league if they remain focus,” he added.
Kotoko are currently joint leaders on the league log with 13 points same as King Faisal.
