The Porcupine Warriors captain has admitted he is not happy with how his manager treated him in the 2019-20 season which was truncated due to COVID-19 pandemic

Asante Kotoko captain Felix Annan has revealed that his is not impressed with the manner how he lost his position to second-choice goalkeeper Kwame Baah during the 2019-20 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Annan, after an incredible start to the season, lost his place after taking two weeks off to marry his long-time girlfriend in Dormaa Ahenkro.

Although, Annan returned on time from his honeymoon, head coach Maxwell Konadu opted to stick to Baah for the rest of the season. The situation led to Annan losing his place in Ghana’s national team to Hearts of Oak shot-stopper Richard Attah.

“[Keylon] Navas got injured in PSG’s UEFA Champions League game against Atalanta in the quarterfinals but he reclaimed his place after being passed fit and went on to play in the final against Bayern Munich although second goalkeeper [Sergio] Rico kept a clean sheet and helped the club win against Leipzig in the semifinals,” Annan told Tropical Radio in Germany.

”If it was in our country [Ghana], they would’ve told Navas that his replacement had a clean sheet so he should continue to stay on the bench. These are some of the things I hear in Ghana in my situation and I smile.

”I won’t talk too much because of the respect I have for the fans of Asante Kotoko and the love they’ve shown me in these difficult times. I appreciate it but I will have my time to tell the world my side of the story,” he said.

”If we are doing things right we should do things right because I kept asking myself that why is it that after each game there is a conversation about me, why is it so?

”That means there is a problem if there is no problem there won’t be a conversation but I (Felix Annan) will not give up until the world is over,” he added.
