The defender has made a history after becoming the last player to sign for the Miners in the Thousand and Tens decade
Ashanti Gold have grabbed Heart of Lions captain Frank ‘Aziz’ Akoto as a free agent to beef up their defence, AshesGyamera.com can exclusively confirm.
The 22-year-old signed a three-year deal on Tuwsday and has made history after becoming the last player to arrive at the Len Clay Sports Stadium in the Thousand and Tens decade which ends tonight.
Having spent seven seasons with Lions, Akoto is expected to compliment Ashanti Gold’s defence as they hope to win the league title this campaign.
Despite sealing his deal very late, the youngster could be handed his first game in the Yellow and Black shirt on Sunday when Ashanti Gold travel to Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to lock horns with King Faisal.
Ashanti Gold are hoping to make it two wins in two games after thrashing Olympics 3-0 at home last weekend in the opening game.
