Aduana charged over post-match breach after defeat to Vision FC

The Ogya Lads have been given an ultimatum to respond to their charges following the narrow defeat at home to Vision FC

Aduana FC have been charged by Ghana Football Association after they suffered a shock 1–0 home defeat to Vision FC on Sunday in their Matchday 18 fixture of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.

The visitors produced a disciplined and resolute performance, capped by a decisive strike from Meschack Adjetey in the 35th minute. The forward made no mistake when the opportunity fell his way, firing home what proved to be the only goal of the encounter and sealing a famous away victory for Vision FC.

Despite Aduana FC pushing for an equaliser in the second half and enjoying spells of possession, Vision FC’s defence held firm to frustrate the home side and secure all three points on the road, making it one of their most significant results of the season so far.

However, the defeat was compounded for Aduana FC after the club was charged with a breach of Article 38(8)(b) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2025, following the conclusion of the match. According to the charge, the Dormaa-based club allegedly failed to present their Head Coach Cioaba Aristica for the mandatory post-match press conference, a requirement under league regulations.

The Ghana Football Association has officially notified Aduana FC of the charge and granted the club until Wednesday, 7 January 2026, to respond.

Further sanctions may follow depending on the club’s response and the outcome of the disciplinary process, as Aduana FC look to regroup both on and off the pitch after a disappointing weekend in the Premier League.
