The youngster has completed his move to the Latvian side after catching the eye of the club’s scouts
NEA Salamina striker Kwadwo Obeng Junior has signed a three-year deal with Latvian top-flight side FK Spartaks Jurmalas, the club have confirmed.
The 19-year-old who had an incredible run last season in the Ghana Division One League, was linked with a move to Asante Kotoko, Ashanti Gold as well as Ghana Premier League newbies Karela United FC but he opted to move to Europe for greener pastures.
Obeng netted 13 goals in the second-tier for Salamina in their bid to pick qualification to the top-flight as well as scoring three goals in the FA Cup as the club reached the quarterfinals, only to be eliminated by eventual winners Kotoko as the Porcupine Warriors scored rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1 in the final at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
AshesGyamera understands that the club is closing on other Ghanaian players before the end of their transfer window.
