The lecturer-turned-journalist was excited to have seen the former Ghana youth star at the hospital he has been receiving treatment on Wednesday
Seasoned sports journalist Joseph Oti-Asirifi, popularly known as Big Oty, has showered praise on former Ghana youth striker Ebenezer Assifuah after he paid a surprise visit to him this week.
Oti, who is the head of disability unit at Takoradi Poly University and former head of sports of Skyy FM, has been battling with health issues recently. He has been admitted to the University Hospital in Takoradi since last week and had one of the surprises of his life as the footballer visited him unannounced.
Assifuah arrived at the hospital with some family members and spent time with the journalist before they parted ways.
“I’ve been battling illness recently only to be admitted at the University hospital. I would like to appreciate the kid gesture of Ebenezer Assifuah and his family,” Oti told AshesGyamera.com.
“They spent some couple of time here and wished me speedy recovery, a gesture that I’m very elated about. I hope to get well soon and rejoin my family and friends,” he added.
Assifuah, who is boasting of one international cap with Ghana, currently plies his trade with FC Pau in France lower league.
