The former Ghana youth international will play in the Iraqi Premier League until July with the Elegants
Former Sekondi Hasaacas and Ghana U20 star Samuel Afful has joined lraqi Premier League outfit Al Talaba in a six month deal, AshesGyamera understands.
The 21-year-old mutually terminated his contract with Tanzanian giants Azam FC, alongside Yahaya Mohammed, and has agreed to play in Iraq despite being linked with a move to Ghana Premier League newbies Karela FC.
However, the offer and promises from head coach Essam Hamad won the bid for the Iraqi side, ahead of all suitors as they jeered off for the second half of the season.
Al Talaba who finished last season seventh, are currently sitting 10th on the log with 27 points.
AshesGyamera understands that James Abban previously featured for the club but his contract ended in May 2016.
According to our sources, many other Ghanaian players will arrive in Iraq soon.
