The Miners have come to the end of the road as they suffered a narrow defeat in Burkina Faso on Saturday
Ghana Premier League side Ashanti Gold have been kicked out of the Caf Confederation Cup for the second time in a row after losing 2-1 against Salitas FC in the return fixture of the preliminary round on Saturday.
After recording a goalless draw at home last weekend, Ashanti Gold went into the game with little hopes and their scares actually became a reality.
A brace by striker Olivier Stephane Boissy in the first half was enough to send the Burkinabe side into the next round of the competition.
Although, AshantiGold midfielder David Abagna Sandan scored a consolation goal for the Ghanaian side, forcing their coach to throw caution to the wind in search of the equaliser, it was too little too late.
The hosts kept their cool at the back to record their first ever win over a Ghanaian side in any Caf inter club competition.
