The Sofo-line based school made the most of the evening as they emerged eventual winners of the 2021 edition of the competition

Kumasi-based Prempeh College have been crowned winners of the 2021 National Science and Math Quiz after pipping Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School and Keta Senior High and Technical School in the final held at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology on Friday in Kumasi.

After a cagey encounter in the opening round, Prempeh went on to win the competition with a total point of 53 as they indeed lived up to their slogan “Host and Win”.

Highly rated Presec-Legon could amass 49 points while Keta SHTS had an impressive 30 points since this was their maiden appearance at this stage of the competition.

Despite placing third, Keta SHTS have set an enviable record as they have become the first school from the Volta Region to make it to the final.

Also, they were the only side among the three finalists with a female in their ranks.

The victory by Prempeh College means that they have taken their tally to five.
