The former Black Stars defender has insisted that his former boss is likely to fail in his second coming to the country since he has been away for far too long
Former Ghana defender John Paintsil has insisted that it will be wrong on the part of Ghana Football Association to appoint Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac as the new Black Stars coach.
Paintsil and Rajevac previously worked together when the latter guided the Black Stars to reach the quarterfinals of the 2010 Fifa World Cup in South Africa.
Although, Rajevac has been rumoured to become the replacement of Charles Kwablah Akonnor who was sacked a fortnight ago, Paintsil believes Rajevac will not be able to repeat his previous heroics wheh given another opportunity.
“The timing to Milovan is wrong and only miracle will save him,” Paintsil said on Angel FM Accra.
“If it’s true Milo is the one taking over the Black Stars job then I will say the timing is wrong, because how much does he know this current team.
“Our time was different as compared to today because all the players were already made and it will take only miracle to help him qualify this team,” he added.
Rajevac arrived in Ghana on Monday evening and has met the top hierarchy of Ghana Football Association. He is expected to hold a meeting with Youth and Sports minister before he would be unveiled as the new coach in the coming days.
