Zesco United defender David Owino has urged his Kenyan teammates to defeat Ghana in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday at the Kasarani Stadium.

The Harambee Stars are without a point and languish at the foot of the log following opening day defeat to Sierra Leone and are in dire need of points.

“We are playing one of the best teams and if we’ll need to be mentally strong to pull a win because we are at home and for us to revive our chances of qualifying for Afcon then we must just win,” Owino said.

“I don’t remember the last time we played at home but the support from the fans will be important for the players who will get the chance to don the jersey and hopefully, our fans will return home with a smile on the face if we pull a victory,” Gor Mahia midfielder Francis Kahata also added.
