Bono East NDC Council of Elders Pays Courtesy Call on GoldBod CEO, Sammy Gyamfi

The Bono East Regional Council of Elders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, Esq., in a show of appreciation, solidarity, and continued party unity.

The high-powered delegation was led by the Chairman of the Bono East NDC Council of Elders, Mr. John Owusu Agyemang, Esq., and comprised respected senior members of the party who have, over the years, played a pivotal role in strengthening the NDC’s grassroots structures and providing wise counsel on national and regional matters.

The visit, which took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, was primarily to express the Council’s profound gratitude to His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, and Mr. Sammy Gyamfi for their consistent support, recognition, and engagement with the elders of the party. According to the Council, such continuous interaction and respect for the views of senior party members underscore the NDC’s long-standing tradition of inclusiveness, respect for experience, and collective leadership.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Chairman John Owusu Agyemang, Esq. commended President Mahama for his leadership and unwavering commitment to national development, as well as his openness to advice from party elders. He also lauded Sammy Gyamfi for his accessibility, humility, and dedication to party ideals, noting that his role at GoldBod continues to reflect the values of accountability, service, and loyalty to the NDC’s vision.

The Council further used the occasion to formally convey their goodwill messages and best wishes to both President Mahama and Mr. Gyamfi, praying for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as they continue to serve the nation and advance the interests of the Ghanaian people.

In his response, Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, Esq. expressed deep appreciation to the Bono East Council of Elders for the visit and for their enduring support. He described the elders as the backbone of the party, whose guidance and prayers remain invaluable to the success of the NDC and the stability of the nation.

Mr. Gyamfi assured the delegation of his readiness to support them whenever the need arises, encouraging them not to hesitate to reach out to him for assistance. He also appealed to the elders to continue offering prayers and wise counsel for President John Dramani Mahama and for Ghana as a whole, emphasising the importance of unity, peace, and collective responsibility in nation-building.

The visit ended on a note of mutual respect and renewed commitment to collaboration, reinforcing the strong bond between the party’s leadership and its revered elders, and highlighting the NDC’s continued focus on unity, dialogue, and service to the people of Ghana.
