The Phobians make a long journey from the capital to the upper part of the Bono region as they face one of their nemesis this weekend
Hearts of Oak are hoping to make it two wins in a row when they face Aduana Stars on matchday 20 of Ghana Premier League at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa Ahenkro on Sunday.
After going four games without a win in the Premier League, the Phobians finally ended their winless streak on Wednesday when they pipped WAFA 2-1 thanks to a late penalty by Sulley Muntari.
However, they will have to grind another results this time around without him after failing to make the 22-man squad that left Accra on Friday.
Although, initial reports suggested that Muntari opted not to travel to Dormaa Ahenkro for the game due to lack of local flight from Accra to the venue, but the club has vehemently denied such suggestions and insists it was on medical grounds.
“The decision to exempt Sulley Ali Muntari from the game against Aduana Stars is based on medical advice after he picked up a knock in our previous game and not his personal decision as being speculated,” a club statement read on Friday.
Also, box-to-box midfielder Frederick Ansah Botchway and Enoch Asubonteng could not make the trip as the duo are also yet to recover from injuries they sustained.
The Phobians have now moved up to fourth in the log with 29 points, twelve points behind Asante Kotoko who lead the Premier League log.
